I have been a resident of Fishhawk for three years. I live here with my husband Shekar and our two boys, Aditya and Adarsh who go to Fishhawk Creek Elementary School. My educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from George Mason University, Virginia. I have worked in corporate America for ten years as a professional engineer. I am excited to bring a high quality preschool program to our community. We noticed a clear need for a premier preschool in the area as we shopped for childcare for our boys. I am honored to bring the Goddard program that will help shape the early childhood development for the children in our community.
Whales Classroom - VPK Ms. Amanda holds Bachelor's degree in sociology with a concentration in Education from Ashford University. She has been teaching at the PreK level for nearly 10 years now. Personal Note: "My teaching philosophy reflects the brain-based approach school of thought. What this means is that I plan and engage the children in activities that incorporate the five senses whenever possible. If students can see, touch, smell, hear and taste what we are learning about they will remember it. Lastly, I believe in learning through play and exploration. Children engaged in meaningful activities have fun and learn at the same time this develops a life long love of learning."
